False (by Rylan Hunter)
The facade you created fed hungrily on my inexperience with lies in disguise, but I believed you.
I believed your painted-on smile that distracted me from the knife slowly disemboweling my insides.
As my life bled out in a syrupy puddle around our feet, I believed your macabre masquerade.
I believed you as loops of my world came slipping out of the ragged hole you created while you murmured words of evil dipped in honey.
You destroyed me with your love, with your hate, with your obsession,
Because – until the mask came off – I believed you.
