A news roundup. Sort of.
OK, it’s a seriously slow news day. I’m talking zip. I’ve never considered myself the type of site that will run a story on Mark Ruffalo’s chest hair (sexy though it may be), the entire Kobe and his big mouth dust up, (because he is after all, the only person that’s ever said it, right?), who’s pissed off about gays wanting to get married today, or the endless, completely nonsensical ramblings of Michelle Bachman. Because, of course, every syllable of insanity that falls off her tongue is news, right?
Nah, not so much. That’s not news – that’s filler. Posting something for the sake of posting something, and I just can’t roll like that. People wouldn’t read it in my newspaper, they won’t read it on my website.
I do (and still) have my knickers in a knot over Bret Easton Ellis’ big mouth, and I posted that baby this morning. That’s noteworthy, and I even took time off the paying job to get it out there ASAP. The rest of the stories I’m seeing today, so far I think I’ll take a pass.
If something noteworthy does rear it’s head, you know I’ll get it out here. As of right now, I won’t waste your time or mine junking up the site with stories that are guaranteed cures for insomnia.
