Oh, Target

I really wanted to blow this one off. I mean, I really hoped someone was going to come out and say this was all a big mistake. Seems like that’s not going to happen. Especially since they are defending it.
I’m sure you’ve heard all about it. Target gives to a group that supports a candidate that not only opposes gay marriage, he supports Bradlee Dean a member of a band that has this (note: they have taken down the official transcript) to say about us:
The bottom line is this… they [homosexuals] play the victim when they are, in fact the predator. On average, they molest one hundred seventeen people before they’re found out. How many kids have been destroyed, how many adults have been destroyed because of crimes against nature?
The band and its “ministry” You Can Run But You Can’t Hide operates an anti-gay public school program where they go into school on the pretense of a free concert and preach at the children about the need for purity and the dangers of immoral brainwashing being done by the school. They discuss the constitution and while also doing seminars for educators discussing how separation of church and state is a myth and should be disregarded. Further, they talk about how alcoholism and drug addictions are myths and that people use only because they want to.
The donation made by Tom Emmer to YCRBYCH was for 250 dollars, 100 dollars over the limit. The violation is currently being investigated.
As for me, my money will talk and I will add Target to the list of stores I avoid.
