Contributors Wanted

I started this website because of a desire to post what I felt was important, and without the restriction of somebody hovering over me sweating my sentence structure.  You can see that while by and large the site content is about things that have happened in my life, every now and again there is something that catches my attention I feel the need to comment on.  That’s part of my vision for this site: it should be a place for people to share what’s important to them, be it their view on a current event or something that’s occurred in their life they want to share.

If you’d like to add something to sayencrowolf.com, I would love to give you the space.  From the categories drop-down you’ll see some of the topics I’m passionate about but don’t let that limit you.  I’ll post on any subject at all that could be of public interest.  All that I ask is this:

1. If the content is about your personal life, then you are the writer in charge.  What you submit is what will be posted, unedited.  If you need help in constructing your piece, please let me know and I’ll be happy to assist.
2. If you’re posting on current events or a topic of public interest, please check your facts and provide references where applicable.
3. If you’re taking some person or entity to task, please keep it contextual and objective.  We all know there are some things that need to be said, but make sure it passes the balance test.  Also, if there is a chance that somebody could be adversely impacted by your post, be sensitive to that.
4. Ditto for any “colorful metaphors”.  I’ve been known to let the f-bomb fly here and there, and I probably will again.  I have no intention of censoring anybody; I just ask that if you go down this path, use your best judgment.
5. Please make sure I have your preferred by-line information: name (or pen-name), email address, and any website reference you’d like a link back to.  If you’re submitting any art/pictures, please make sure the proper credit is noted if you don’t own them.

Hopefully you’ll see this as a common sense list rather than restrictive.  As this site is well within it’s infancy, I’d at least like it to be up a few weeks before I get my first “cease and desist” order.  (Ideally, I’d rather one get one at all – just an FYI.)

Where this site goes is limited solely by time, imagination and the submissions received.  My only goal is to give space to those that have something to share.
